WHO KNEW!  Though, many predicted that two great childhood friends (since 1957!!), would have their dream come true and become partners in a fun and fulfilling business venture!!

Pws Bed and Breakfast – “the alternative to traditional kennel boarding”.   

Both Betty and Shelley shared many common threads throughout the years.   Both have degrees in Restaurant & Hotel Management and shared a dream to someday open and manage a hotel, a restaurant, or a Bed & Breakfast.   Betty and Shelley have successfully held executive level positions in Sales, Marketing and Operations for multi-million dollar corporations; both have owned and operated their own businesses; and both live life with gratefulness, passion, enthusiasm, and compassion.

Betty

“From adversity comes opportunity”.   Betty spent 25 years in sales and marketing in the wireless business focusing on distribution, expansion,  and customer satisfaction.    However, despite being impacted with the downsizing trend,  she reassessed her career which gave her an opportunity to re-evaluate her vocation and incorporate her dream and passion into this new venture.   Her dog “Chelsea” had inspired her to want to give something back to pets everywhere that provide devotion and unconditional love to so many families.  The thought of caging Chelsea for a week while the family went on vacation was too traumatic and unacceptable.   The idea for an alternative solution had since taken root and blossomed into this mission.

Shelley

City girl moves to the farm.  Shelly has always been a city girl, but moved to the farm after her marriage in 1982. Having been married to a veterinarian, the farm was filled with dogs, cats, ferrets, sheep, horses, turkeys and a donkey, named Rio.   Shelley’s career as a business started up as Specialist Lead to the  creation of the first Veterinary Specialty Referral Clinic in Northeast Ohio and her life became 24/7 about pets and the business of pet care.   Attachments to our furry farm friends came easily and the task of finding caregivers during our times away was painful. Betty’s concept was one I wanted to be a part of and wanted to help take to the next level.
